HARNESS THE POWER OF PURE INTENT

Intention is a pulse of creatively charged consciousness, potent enough to awaken the infinite organising power of the universe. Not only will it conspire, in mysterious ways to turn your desires into reality, it will also hold you in alignment with your highest self. This is why I created this (intention-driven) Day Planner for you.

HOW TO USE THIS DAY PLANNER:

This morning ritual requires you put pen to paper. It invites you to weave your intentions, with grateful contemplations, creatively charged ideas, and the usual suspects (To Do’s and Top Priorities) because “everything that we design is designing us back.” (Jason Silva) And with the right canvas (this day plan) you can paint your day all shades of sublime. Featuring the beautiful blue lotus mandala by Amy Louise Southorn designs, this Magic Morning Ritual will inspire you to design a day that elegantly produces the results (and feeling-tones) you desire. The Magic Day Planner has 7 prompts (or soul-guiding) sections to fill:

1. TODAY’S INTENTION

Intention is the compass of your heart – your true north, helping you separate the signal from the noise and aligning your thoughts, actions, decisions and interactions with what really matters. Enquire in an honest, heart-felt way – ‘What really matters? What is my intention for today?’ Sense what bubbles up. Sense what feels true when your awareness lands on it. Don’t try too hard, hush your mental chatter and let the words gently come to you. Then write it down.

2. FEEL TO MAKE REAL

An intention will remain ‘a nice idea’ (a concept carried by the intellect) unless you anchor it into your body through action. If you intention is ‘loving presence’ consider how you can experience that in a visceral heart-felt way? Maybe you call a loved one on your break instead of flicking through Facebook. Or schedule a “digital device free dinner” with your lover. Or perhaps you start from the inside out – being there for yourself, honouring your internal realities and soothing those ‘ouch’ areas with an inner voice of loving presence. As Dr. Habib Sadhegi says, “the emphasis is always on the feelings and NOT the words themselves. The universe doesn’t speak English! Affirmations are only tools to generate feelings. If the feelings aren’t there, your words aren’t plugged into universal energy.” So, consider 3 ways you can FEEL this intention today and jot them down in the corresponding section.

3. DOWN TO THE SUBTLE DETAILS

Get creative and elaborate. Cast your mind out over the remaining hours of this day. Ask: How can my thoughts, words, gestures, activities choices, interactions, expressions, even carefully curated contexts (sets and settings) and dynamics etc conspire to awaken this intention? Because we all know the little things are the big things.

4. TODAY’S MANTRA

This is a power-packed statement that supports your intention. It serves as a war-cry, a declaration, a verbal touchstone reminding you of what matters most. ‘I am..’ statements are dandy but if it feels like too much of a stretch (ie. you haven’t quite bridged that believability gap) start with something that rings true NOW. ‘I am discovering.. x, y, z.’ Or ‘Every day, in every way, i am becoming…’ As I mentioned earlier, feeling is the language of the universe. If pie-in-the-sky wishful (out loud) thinking doesn’t do it for you, try this sincere, honest-yet-affirmative approach. It’ll replace reservations and internal eye-rolling with openness and receptivity.

5. TOP PRIORITIES

To keep your focus sharp.

6. TO DO

So the would-be forgotten details don’t slip through the cracks

7. I AM GRATEFUL FOR… AND THIS IS WHY?

Part of the Wabi-Sabi Well arsenal in positive neuroplasticity – fading out the negativity bias and re-wiring your brain to actively notice the nice things, the things that light you up, elevate your mood and improve your basic day-to-day sense well being. Asking why and unpacking your responses a little, simply enriches the experience and leaves deeper neural grooves.
